Advanced Large Wheel Cell in full operation at Meister Abrasives USA headquarters reduces lead times for U.S. customers by up to 40%
Late last fall we began installing technology and production equipment that would allow Meister Abrasives USA to manufacture large external grinding wheels (bigger than 500 mm in diameter) here in the United States. We are pleased to announce that this advanced manufacturing cell has been thoroughly proven and is now in full production.
Our large wheel manufacturing cell relies on processes, materials and equipment identical to those used by our parent company in Switzerland. It can produce vit CBN and diamond abrasive wheels up to 1,225 mm (approximately 4 ft. in diameter) and is reducing lead times for our U.S. customers by up to 40%.
