Our goal was to develop a superior bore grinding wheel dresser but the technology turned out to be so much more.
Most dressing tools have been designed to optimize the performance of wheels used for external grinding. However, since high-performance wheels for bore grinding are a Meister Abrasives specialty, we decided to develop new dressing technology that would take on some of the unique challenges encountered while dressing wheels for internal bore grinding applications.
Porous Hybrid-Bond Dresser Technology
Much to our delight we discovered that these unique tools not only improve the performance of both internal and external CBN wheels, we also learned that stationary dressers using this technology can produce dressing results that were only possible in the past with rotary dressers.
